Local Storage Only

All app data is stored exclusively on your device using iOS's secure storage mechanisms:

  • Keychain: Your passcode is encrypted and stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only access
  • UserDefaults: App settings are stored locally and never synced to the cloud
  • No Backend: There are no servers, databases, or cloud storage involved

No Internet Connection Required

Safe in Sound works completely offline. The app does not:

Permissions We Request

Face ID (Optional)

If you choose to enable Face ID authentication:

  • The app uses iOS's Face ID API for authentication only

  • Face ID data never leaves your device and is managed by iOS
  • You can disable Face ID at any time in Settings

Audio Session Access

The app requires access to the audio session to:

  • Monitor and control system volume levels
  • Enforce volume limits in real-time
  • No audio is recorded or transmitted

Data Deletion

To delete all data associated with Safe in Sound:

  1. Delete the app from your device
  2. All settings, preferences, and passcode will be permanently removed
  3. Since no data is stored on external servers, this completely removes all traces of the app

Children's Privacy

Safe in Sound is designed to protect children's hearing health. We do not:

  • Collect any personal information from children or adults
  • Require user registration or account creation
  • Include any advertising or in-app purchases
  • Share information with third parties
